How Sports Inspire Purpose-Led Leaders
Join SAP and WISE HK (Women In Sports Empowered Hong Kong), for a panel discussion to explore how Sports are an important enabler to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
- Tolerance and Respect (SDGs 16 and 17)
- Empowerment of women and young people, individuals and communities (SDGs 5 and 11)
- Health (SDG 3), physical, emotional and mental
- Education and social inclusion objectives (SDG 4)
- Reduction of inequalities (SDG 10).
Sports are also a powerful platform for community building: fostering stronger social cohesion, strengthening culture and encouraging civic responsibility. The growth of the sport industry, and its links with other sectors, offer opportunities for economic growth as well as for building sustainable, inclusive and resilient communities. Sports participation empowers the leaders of today, who need to be agile, creative and purpose driven to ensure they are steering their businesses forward sustainably and in strong, passionate way.
In this session you will hear from distinguished leaders in their field who will discuss the link between sports and purpose and how sports equip them with the skills and mindset to be purpose-driven.
